Take the L Featured by Columbia University School of the Arts
We’re thrilled to celebrate one of our own—Eyal Cohen, author of Take the L—as he’s honored by his alma mater in a feature from Columbia University School of the Arts.
Published by Sentient Publications earlier this month, Take the L is a striking debut that unfolds in a series of vivid, New York–set vignettes exploring love, intimacy, and masculinity. Columbia’s profile dives into the book’s origins in Cohen’s MFA workshop, where early feedback sparked an honest and searching exploration of identity, vulnerability, and emotional conditioning.
Through prose that is as tender as it is unflinching, Cohen invites readers to consider how modern masculinity shapes our connections—and how we might find greater freedom in love.
We’re honored to see Eyal’s voice celebrated not only in the literary world, but also by the institution that helped nurture it.
