Sandy L. Chung, MD

Sandy L. Chung, MD is a noted pediatrician who has been named one of America’s Top Doctors by the Consumer’s Research Council of America and bestdoctors.com. After receiving her bachelor’s degree and doctorate from the University of Virginia, Dr. Sandy performed her residency in pediatrics at the Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children and the University of Virginia. She has now been a practicing pediatrician for a large municipal community for more than eleven years.

Dr. Sandy has long been a leader in the pediatric community. She is President of Fairfax Pediatric Associates, PC, and serves on multiple boards and committees on a local, state and national level. With faculty appointments at multiple major universities, she has many years of experience training medical students, pediatric residents, and nurse practitioners in pediatrics. She has taught pediatric advance life support courses for the last ten years at Inova HealthSource for physicians, nurses, and emergency medical personnel.

Dr. Sandy has also made appearances at preschools and elementary schools, giving talks to parents on issues ranging from the H1N1 flu to nutrition and a healthy body mass index. She is a mother of four and thus knows firsthand the joy and stress of parenting. She aims to give new parents the skills and confidence to become great parents.
